In May 2007 I said good bye to Channel youth (The volunteer organization I worked for) after working for almost two years and I would say that I learnt a lot in those two years and had a very good and memorable experience.After few days I left channel youth I got my interview call by intrepid travel which is an Australian travel company where i applied to work as a tour leader. I had a very good interview with one of the manager Amit and Chetan da (who is one of the best tour leader of Intrepid and now my senior), it went well and I had such a good talk with them that I told them weather I get selected or not but I am happy that I met two nice and intelligent people but luckily I got selected and the next step was to start the training. We were 17 people together and we had the best training with the best instructors Helen, Kate, Mohit and Chetan da. At the end of the training we had a big dance party in Delhi which was I should say that ending the training in style.

After the few days of our training was finished we all had training trips with our senior tour leaders. I and Chotu were trained by our senior Nagendra and I would say that it was a very learning training experience by a very good leader. He had a very tough group which was keep complaining about everything and it was impressive seeing him dealing with them very tactfully. If we would have had a good tourist group may be we wouldn’t have learned that much as we learnt with this group. After this trip I started my first solo trip which went very well and then I did many different trips in this season. Most of my trips were very successful and I had a a great time with a very good bunch of people in every group though I had one hard experience but now I see that as a learning experience and I have learnt that you can not make every one happy, you can just try your level best and that’s what I always do. I got sick few times during this year and had Typhoid and Maleria but  I managed well and didn’t let my trips affected with my illness. I finished my last trip on 15^th April and then I was going to be free for 3 months until the next season starts. I decided to travel and thus I left Jaipur on 19^th may and traveled to Rishikesh and Dharamshala for 15 days. I had a lot of fun during my trip though there was a little disappointment as well, my first plan was to go to Gangotri (Origin of Ganga) after Rishikesh but due to some breathing problems I didn’t go and went to Dharamshala instead.

I got a very good gift from one of my Rajasthan group this year and that was a digital camera given by Beng, Tom, Nada and peter during my Rajasthan adventure group which was a very good group. I love photography but didn’t have a camera and after I had that I took a lot of shots and people say that I have a good eye for pictures. I believe that I am zero and still learning but yes the motivation by people have given me a lot of confidence.

Now i am going to end this writing with a little detail about my current status ;

I am free these days and doing nothing except reading books, listening to music, spending time on internet and above all watching 2-3 movies every day and so far my score is 70 movies which is I think very good.

Hi all,

 

My last few months have been very very busy and that is the reason i could not update my space but finally i have a lot of free time and i can do whatever i want. I will start from february when i worked with an amzing group of people. There was  a group of 21 people from different countries and i spent a great time with them. We had four schools to work and i was keep switching the schools according to the requirement. The work in the schools went fine and we had some free time to do other things. My Hindi classes went well again. During one of the weekened we decided to go to Ranthambor for jungle safari so we took a night train to ranthambor that takes about seven hours. I was sitting with Kacyee (One of the friendliest person i ever met) and we were talking and talking and talking, after some time she decided to join other people and Suhail(an Indo american muslim guy and my good friend) joined me, we talked for a while and watched a bollywood movie Dhoom 2 on his laptop. early morning we were in Ranthambor and we spennt two good days there, we went for tiger safari (couldnt see any tiger but the forset itself was nice), we had a crazy party and we went for sight seeing of ranthambor fort, we also saw  the ganesh temple in  there, i would rather call it monkey temple because there were a lot of monkeys and one of them even snatched the flowers i wanted to devote to lord Ganesha. Finally after spending two great days in ranthambor we came back to Udaipur and the rutine was same again..going to school and working hard but every one was waiting for Holi the fesitval of colour, but i am so afarid of it that i havent played it for years but this time i had to because people would not leave me dry...we had a huge water fight a day before and next day we all played Holi with colours.

After holi every one was waiting for Global vision party which was Sindhu's (A fiji, Indian, Austrelian girl) idea. we were all dvided by countries and we had to give a singing and dancing performence countrywise. So there was an america group, UK group, Scotland and japan were togather, Rob was the only guy of walse, Jork was alone from Germany, Austrelia group, Scendinevia group and India group. There was  a lot of spying that what other groups are doing, a lot of secreat preparations were going on and every group was thinking that others are doing somthing special. Me, Suhail, Ritu, Neeraj and Gaurav were in india group. we decided to start our performence wearing sari in the start on a sexy bollywood song and then at a certain time taking them off, me and Suhain were wearing jeans and t shirts under where as our key award winning performer gaurav was wearinga skirt and top under so we took saris off and then we started dancing on another cheesy bollywood song ,me and suhain being boys and gaurav paying a kind of bar dancer ha ha...and afterwards we all sang and danced ona cheesy song again..people were keep laughing and clapping on india performence all the time and finally India group won the global vision award but i would say that every group did a great job and every performence was very very good. after this we had a dance party.

Next weekend was our excursion to Jodhpur and jaisalemr for five days and it went very well.

In brief i would say that my time with this group was the best time i spent so far and it made me very very happy, i met a lot of nice people and made friends out of them. In march people started leaving one by one because their volunteer program was on its end and they had to go back or tarvel around India. I went to Delhi to drop five of my good frends Rob, Gorden, Carol, Sindhu and Jork. It was sad to say good bye to them but this is a part of my job saying a lot of good byes and now i am ghetting used to of it but yes sometimes you like people so much that you dont wanna say bye and this time it was like that. I also had to pickup a new female volunteer from UK . She was travelling around India already and she make it to Youth hostel herself..after saying a lot of sad goodbyes it was nice to see someone so friendly and Camilla was like that. She was the only volunteer so it was cool, we were just roaming around like friends,watched a movie, went for sight seeing and talked a lot and we realised taht we have a lot of things in common so became good friends. It was a great week but the only thing i found weired is to give lactures only to one person but it went well.me and camilla taraevlled to Udaipur and joined other people. Now the group was smaller and it was suddenly very quiet but it was still nice because they all were great..My time from march to may went well with all these peiople in between another group of five people came and they were nice too. The best thing is this period was to see Hazel, kaycee and camy cat (i named camilla cammy cat) learning Hindi with great intrest and they did a great job and appriciated my teaching which made me very happy. In the end we said a lot of sad goodbyes and on 20th may came back home.

Now i am at home enjoying food cooked by mom, spending time with my parents and sister, watching a lot of movies and reading.

So this was all about my last few months in brief. i will soon come up with more things.
